Explores the world of security through the cinematic frame, film director and documentary filmmaker

For over 15 years, Dotan has researched, edited, created and directed throughout the Israeli film & television industry. His first film, "Homeless" (2007) described his own childhood in the children's home at the Kibbutz, and took part in festivals around the world. His latest film, “Ansar” (2022, 'Kan 11') was created together with Lior Estline, editor of the Israeli Air Force magazine and Tzipi Baider, documentary director. The film brings, for the first time, the story of the Israeli POW camp established during 1982 in south Lebanon, from the Israeli soldier's perspective as well as the Palestinian detainees.

His first film, "Homeless" (2007), dealt with his experience growing up in the children's home at the Kibbutz, was broadcast on the Yes-Docu channel and received praise after screenings at festivals around the world. His latest film, 'Ansar' (2022, 'Kan 11') was created together with Lior Estelin, editor of the Air Force magazine and Tzipi Baider, documentary director.
