For over 15 years, Dotan has researched, edited, created and directed throughout the Israeli film & television industry. His first film, "Homeless" (2007) described his own childhood in the children's home at the Kibbutz, and took part in festivals around the world. His latest film, “Ansar” (2022, 'Kan 11') was created together with Lior Estline, editor of the Israeli Air Force magazine and Tzipi Baider, documentary director. The film brings, for the first time, the story of the Israeli POW camp established during 1982 in south Lebanon, from the Israeli soldier's perspective as well as the Palestinian detainees.
