Born in 1945, Micha Koubi spent his military service as a combatant in the elite Sayeret Matkal Special Operation Unit. During his tenure he took part in many complex and dangerous missions behind enemy lines, wherein they were combating terrorists under difficult circumstances and conditions. For some of these missions he was decorated by the President of the State, he was given the Distinguished Services Medal as well as a special commendation by the Chief of Staff.
